36 Weeks

Only 4 More weeks and we get to see our baby boy!! Still having contractions but they are irregular. We went to the Dr this week. She did not check me. She said the contractions could last until he comes!! Not what I wanted to hear. They are really uncomfortable and wake me up at night. Got to go to Lamaze this week. We learned a breathing technique and watch a vaginal birth. We start going to the Dr every week next week. I am just so ready to hold my baby boy and see his lil face!!

35 Weeks

Only 5 weeks left to go!! We had a couple of scares this week. First on Monday at work I started having contractions like all day. So when I got home my mom was here. I was still having contractions but irregular. My mom told me to call the Dr and tell her. So I did about 9 and she said to go to the Medical Center to get checked out, so we did. I was having contractions but I was not dilating. So she wanted me to wait there a few more hours while I was hooked up to monitors to watch the contractions and Canaan's heart rate. Then they checked me again, still not dilating. Then she wanted me to get an IV and get fluids to see if it would stop them, but it didn't. So then they sent me home around 3 am. Then on Wednesday we were supposed to start Lamaze class. My mom came over before. I told her that every time I got up or moved it felt like fluid was coming out, so she said to call the dr. So I did and she told me to go to Medical Center b/c it sounded like my amniotic fluid was leaking. So we went to the hospital again and they hooked me back uo to the monitor and i was still havingcontractions. She checked the fluid and it was not amniotic fk]luid and I was still not dilating. Then we came home.

34 WEEKS

6 more weeks left!! Michael's work threw us a baby shower this week. We got some cute clothes and some great giftcards!! I got the baby monitor with some of our babies r us giftcards. I forgot but last week we went to the dr. She said everything looks great. Canaan's heart beat was in the 140s-150s, which is great. She also said he prob weighs about 3-4 lbs. We will go back in 2 weeks. I can't wait!! I have to go at 36 weeks to get blood test done again!!

33 WEEKS

Only 7 more weeks left to go!! I am so ready to meet my lil man!! I had my third baby shower this week, thrown by some great friends and family!! Canaan got a lot of cute and great things!! I can't wait for him to wear them and use them all. I am getting to the point of being uncomfortable. He is a kicker!! He loves to kick the right side of my ribs. I am so ready for him to come but I want him to cook just a lil longer!! The shower was great!! Everything was so nice!! We are very thankful for all of our great family and friends.

32 weeks

I had my second baby shower this week!! My first was last week at the hospital. We got lots of great and cute things!! I am so thankful for great friends, family and co-workers!! Only 8 more weeks left!! He is still very active esp at night right before I go to bed. I hope he will still not be wide awake at 11-12 when he is born!! Mommy likes her sleep! I can't wait to meet our lil man and see if he looks like me or Michael.

31 Weeks

Only 9 weeks left!!! I am so ready to hold my lil man!! Went to the doctor this week. Everything looks great and she wants me to start doing kick counts. We go back in two weeks. My mom finished painting his letters, monkey table, canvas with his initials and canvas with monkeys on it. She came over and we put it all up in his room. My dad got the last piece of his furniture this week. Now the nursery is finished!! Just waiting on him to come which should be no time soon!! Michael finished tiling the guest bathroom. We only have our bathroom to do and then the house will be finished!!!! I am so excited!!

30 Weeks

Only 10 weeks left!!!! I can't wait!! I started washing Canaan's clothes and stuff this week. I started to get his bag ready for the hospital. I also started to get mine and Michael's bag ready for the hospital. I can't believe that it is already almost time!! It feels just like yesterday I found out that I was pregnant. I told my mom the other day that I was happy but also sad that it is almost time. I feel that way b/c I will never get to feel him move inside my belly again. I also now know what he is doing every minute of everyday and he is always with me!! I am not ready to share him yet!! I know that sounds silly but it is the way I feel!! Oh well I want him to come out!! I am so ready to meet my lil man!!

29 Weeks

Only 11 weeks to go!! My mom started on and finished his letters for his name this week!! They are so cute. She did such a good job. Now she just has to paint his canvas's and table. She also brought over all if his clothes, stuff animals and toys from her house. We put them in his closet and drawers. She also brought over the cradle my paw paw made for me when I was a baby for Canaan to use!! I can't wait to hold my baby boy in my arms. It want be much longer from now and I will be able to.

28 Weeks

Got the carpet this week!! We went to baby waves on Friday and I got to see my baby boy. My mom and dad went with us. He looks like me and Michael to me but it is still hard to tell. They said he weighs 3 lbs but we will see!! He is already head down and ready to come when it is time!! She said he should not turn again b/c he does not have enough room!! His butt is right up under my ribs and sometimes goes in my ribs!! His feet are under my right ribs and always kicking!! We came home that night b/c the carpet was just put in and Michael started putting together his furniture. We still have one more piece to get. Then me and my mom put his bedding in the crib and started hanging up his clothes!! Now she has to paint all of his stuff. Then on Sat we put up all the furniture and hung up all the pics in one of the guest bedrooms. My mom has to fix the bed and furniture for the other guest bedroom.

27 weeks

Only 13 weeks left!!!! I can't wait to hold my baby boy. We finished the stripes on the nursery wall this week. Now we just have to get the carpet. I can't wait till it is done. Really I can't wait till the whole house is done. The floors are done in the kitchen and dinning room. We are getting so close to be done!! Ijust hope we are done before Canaan is here! He is not moving around as much as he used to b/c he does not have a lot of room. I fell this week at work and landed on my hands and knees. I still had to fill out a form and pee in a cup for a drug test. Then I had to get a note from the dr saying I could work.

26 Weeks

Well my daddy and brother went this week and got his furniture. One piece is not ready yet, so we have to go back June 7 to get it. My mom came over and started measuring out the stripes. Then we left Thursday after my doctor's appt to go to the beach. WE got there around six and went shopping at the outlets in Destin. I got Canaan some clothes from polo, carters and heartstrings. I also got him(well me) a diaper bag from Coach!!!! WE had a lot of fun at the beach. My parents came with us. WE went out to eat every night and laid out in the sun everyday. It was sooo hot. I think I was even hotter b/c of being pregnant. Note to self do not be 7-9 months pregnant during the summer again!! Now I am ready to get started on the stripes in the nursery, get the carpet, put up his furniture and put up all his clothes and stuff in his closet!!

25 Weeks!!

The bedding finally came!!! WE went out the next day and got the paint!! Made Michael start painting the next day. By the end of the week it had 2 coats already on it!! Now my mom has to paint the stripes on the wall his bed is going on. Then she is gonna paint his letters with his name, his light switch and a canvas painting for another wall. She has a lot of painting to do!! So she better get started only 15 weeks left!! Now we need to get his furniture and get the carpet. I am so ready to hold my baby boy in my arms and see who he looks like. Can't wait to go to the beach next week and go shopping for my lil man!! Well I guess that is about all for this week.

24 Weeks

I ordered and got Canaan's car seat this week!! We got the Auburn one!! Michael said he had to have that. Still waiting on the bedding. Emailed them and they said it will be here by May 14!! I hope it is so we can start painting the nursery and then get carpet in all the bedrooms. I am so ready for this house to be done!! I can't believe that in 16 weeks(or less) I will be holding my baby boy!! I wonder what or who he will look like!! Still waiting on one piece of furniture to be ready and then we are going to pick it all up!! I hope his nursery is done by the end of this month. We leave to go to the beach on May 20. Can't wait for sun and shopping at the outlets. Gonna buy Canaan a bunch of cute things!! I love this lil boy so much and I know it is gonna be a whole lot more once I get to see him and hold him in my arms!! He is still moving a lot at night. Sometimes it wakes me up at night!! Well I guess that is about it for now!! Hopefully next time I can write about the nursery and bedding.

23 Weeks

The bedding did not come in last week!! Hoping it does this week!! Started getting the furniture out of his room to get ready to paint and get the carpet. My dad and brother are going to get the furniture either this week or next week. Still waiting on one piece to be made. Michael went out of town this past weekend so my mom stayed with me. We went and registered at That's our baby and now I am done!! I am also registered at target and babies r us.

22 Weeks

Well not much has happened this week. Still waiting on the bedding to get here. Should be here this week or next and I can't wait!! We can then paint the nursery and get carpet in all 3 nursery/guest bedrooms!! We are going to do one wall of the nursery blue and brown strips to match his bedding and the other walls blue. I registered at target and babies r us!! Going next week pr this Sat to register at That's our baby for a few things!! We started to put the wood floors down in the kitchen and dinning room. I told Michael he has 18 weeks to finish the floor and tile both bathrooms. He promised me it all would be done by the end of May, but we will see!! I just want it all done before Canaan gets here!! He is a wiggle worm and he likes to ball up in balls at the bottom of my stomach!! Which at times is very uncomfortable. He also likes to get all the way on my right side with his head in my ribs and butt in my pelvis bone!! We are going to the beach with my parents at the end of May and I can't wait!! Going to go shopping for lil man at the outlets!! Well I guess that is all for this week!

21 Weeks

Not much happened this week. We went to the doctor to talk about our 20 US. They checked Canaan's heart beat and it was great, in the 150s. He would not be still long enough for them to listen for a long time. He likes to wiggle!! He is kicking up a storm and esp at night when I am trying to sleep. Went to the river this weekend and got some sun. We went to A-Day on Sat and got Canaan some cute Auburn things!! I can't wait for him to wear them this football season!! Only 19 weeks left and I will get to meet my little man!! I just can't wait to see him and hold him. Michael go to feel him kick while we were in the waiting room at the drs. He just smiled very big and said "Man, He can really kick." Now he feels him kick just about every night!!

20 weeks

Went to the doctor on April 7 for our 20 week ultrasound!! Well Canaan did not want to cooperate. He had his hands up by his ears and the us tech wanted him to put them down, so she poked him and then he just put his hands over his face. Then she wanted him to stretch out b/c he was in a ball so she poked him again and then he just balled up more!! He is a very stubborn little guy already. He is moving around a whole lot more these days. At work yesterday he would not be still. At one point he moved all the way over to my right side and would not move for about 30 mins. He is a wiggle worm!! He is kicking me up a storm here lately. H e still moves around a lot at night, hopefully will not do that when he is born. I can't believe I am halfway there already!! Only 2o more weeks and I will get to see and hold my baby boy. It does not feel like it has already been 20 weeks.

19 Weeks

I turned 27 on Saturday!! I am starting to feel old. Starting to show a lot more this week. Have been feeling better with the sickness until Sat night when we got home and I threw my guts up!! Canaan really is kicking and moving around a lot lately. He starts at about 9:30 or 10 until around 12 or 12:30!! I think he might be a night owl!! The other night I had my hand on my stomach and I felt him kick it!! It was the first time I have felt it! It just made my heart melt. Now I put my hand on my stomach every night so I can feel it. I told everyone for my birthday I just wanted money so I could get stuff I wanted. Me and my mom went to Motherhood Maternity on Monday so I could get some clothes. My clothes still fit but I wanted to go ahead and get them before I spent the money on something else!! Michael bought me a camera for my birthday!! We already have a really nice one but I needed one that would fit in my purse!! B/c I know when Canaan comes I will take pics everywhere we go. Still waiting on the bedding to get here so we can paint his room!! I am so ready to start on it and put his clothes and toys up that he already has!! I am glad that it is finally warm outside so I can layout and get some sun. I guess that is about it for now.

18 weeks

So I am definitely feeling baby Canaan move!! He is most active at night when I am trying to sleep!! I hope that does not mean he is going to be a night owl!! I like my sleep way too much for that. I guess daddy can just stay up with him. I am so ready for the bedding to get here so we can start painting his room. His bedding is so cute, it has little monkeys on it. Not much has happened this week. It is getting harder for me to work 3 days in a row. I just feel really exhausted by the third day. The day after my third day I always spend the whole day sleeping and resting. We go to the doctor April 7 for our 20 week ultrasound. I can't wait to see my baby boy!!

17 Weeks

Turned 17 weeks the day we left Jamaica!! I think I felt my lil man move this week!! It was the best feeling ever. My mom went with me to my doctor appointment on Thursday March 18. We got to hear his heart beat!! It was the best sound ever!! I picked out the bedding for his nursery. It is going to be monkeys and then paint it brown and blue with some strips. I am ordering it tonight. I have not gained that much weight just about 6 lbs, which I am glad about. Still jogging 2.5-3 miles a day, just depending on how I feel. I still have my belly buton ring in and plan on keeping for as long as I can. Here are the last few weeks of belly shots.
